Ambassador Lawson is a Partner at Ellis George LLP and brings more than three decades of experience in business finance, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, and regulatory compliance. He previously served as U.S. Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization under President Barack Obama.
In addition to his legal career, Ambassador Lawson has held senior leadership roles across civic, educational, and financial institutions, including serving as President and CEO of the Los Angeles Urban League. He currently sits on the boards of the California State Teachers’ Retirement System, Los Angeles World Airports, Loyola Marymount University, Morehouse College, and the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County.
