“‘A Caregiver’s Walk of Faith’ is a book of encouragement to those who are going through ALS or a terminal illness. It is a book about life,” shares the author. “In life, we face many things that we view as blessings or discouragements. Throughout my life, I have seen God’s hand in the blessings and also in the challenges. He is always with me as I walk by faith. I hope this book will help you see our loving Father and how He provides through the good days and also gives strength for the difficult ones. My prayer is that you will be encouraged through the Scriptures at the end of each chapter and feel the love and compassion our Savior has for each one of us.
“The title containing the words ‘Walk of Faith’ came to be many years ago when my husband and I were in Illinois interviewing at a college. As our life unfolded throughout the years, so have the chapters. There have been many turns in the road of life, but through it all, we have never been alone. For years I thought I would write about our personal life’s journey in ministry. That all changed when my husband was diagnosed with ALS and I became his caregiver. The caregiver’s ‘walk of faith’ is a story revealing how God is building our faith, deepening our love, and strengthening our courage.”
