Mr. Chute’s commitment to family law began during his time with the San Diego Superior Court’s Office of the Family Law Facilitator. Serving as a Student Law Clerk and Summer Legal Intern, he assisted self-represented litigants with critical issues including divorce, child custody, and parentage actions. This experience provided him with a unique perspective on how family court decisions are made and the specific challenges parents face within the legal system.

Prior to joining Reel Fathers Rights, Mr. Chute practiced civil litigation, handling claims involving fraud and consumer protection. He further refined his legal skills through two Judicial Externships at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, where he researched complex legal questions and assisted in drafting judicial orders.
Mr. Chute earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. During his academic career, he distinguished himself as a Senior Teaching Fellow, a member of the Law Review, and a Research Assistant to the Director of International Legal Studies. At Reel Fathers Rights, he utilizes these high-level writing and analytical skills to advocate for fathers navigating the complexities of the family law system.
